Automation Ready: No
The Sunstone CD Dual-Pulse Standard Series offers professional-grade precision resistance welding with a dual-pulse discharge system—designed to improve weld cleanliness, consistency, and strength on thin to moderately thick conductive materials.
These welders deliver highly repeatable performance using stored capacitive energy. The dual-pulse design initiates each weld with a lower-energy pulse to condition the weld site (removing oxide or contamination), followed by a second pulse that delivers the full welding energy for a solid and clean bond.
With a compact footprint, durable chassis, and a straightforward interface, the Standard Series is ideal for labs, prototyping benches, light production settings, and precision applications where manual control is acceptable and automation is not required.

🔍 Model-Specific Differences
Model |
Stored Energy |
Dimensions (in) |
Weight |
Notes |
CD200DP |
200 Ws |
18 x 18 x 15 |
31 lbs |
Ideal for small parts, foils, battery tabs, and thermocouples. Offers fast welding (up to 164 welds/min at 20 Ws). Most agile option. |
CD400DP |
400 Ws |
18 x 15 x 18 |
35 lbs |
Doubles the weld energy, better for medium-thickness terminals or materials. Delivers deeper welds with similar speed (~156 welds/min at 40 Ws). |
CD600DP |
600 Ws |
18 x 15 x 18 |
35 lbs |
Highest energy in the series, suitable for small bus bars, layered materials, and thicker metals. Offers slower cycles due to energy size but strongest welds. |
🧰 Ideal Applications
